We see in the past Kumi got the role of the Snow Queen. The idea that the dream world is paradise while the real world is cruel and that Takeshi and the others are the villains for trying to wake everyone and her up from it. It seems, unlike our Personas which are facets of our personality that protect us, Hypnos seems to actively encourage Kumi’s negative thoughts. Kumi calls us out for being rude…and then refers to the robed man beside her as Hypnos so…that isn’t looking good for us. Brown does not recognize her despite the uniform and Yuka asks for her name to which the girl declares that she is entrusted by the Snow Queen to guard this tower and that she is Kumi Hirose. We enter a room that does not lead to a dream but a chair that sits a glasses wearing girl and a robed man. Go talk to Ooishi, Hanya, Tadashi, and Tamaki on the third floor after waking them all up and they will give you your first two mirror shards-! We thankfully put an end to it and move on. Speaking of straight people, we move on to Tadashi and Tamaki’s dream where they are very embarassingly and openly declaring their love to each other in public. Oph…erm…anyways, we pinch Natsumi and move on. We go to the next room to see Natsumi’s fantasy…where her ex-boyfriend is still together with her and doesn’t mind that Natsumi brings home and microwaves convenience store lunches implying she was dumped because she couldn’t cook. Thankfully just pinching Hanya is enough to make both him and Ooishi vanish from this horrid reality that certainly won’t be the case for another school years down the road. This power fantasy is so bad, poor Ooishi got dragged in, so Hanya’s dream is also her nightmare. So of course, the game has to consequence my good will by having the door nearest we came from have the fantasy of a certain Takashi Hanya (Really regretting Takeshi’s name) where he is principal. Brown is creepily enthusiastic about seeing other people’s dreams, Elly is cracking jokes, Ayano rightfully wonders if this is a plane everyone can go to regardless of Hypnos’ intervention or no, and Yukino is creeped out. Let’s not be total dicks and save them (as much as I want to leave Hanya). We are given the choice to help wake those trapped within it or continue and risk dooming them to confront Hypnos. Hypnos can send people into a dream world and Philemon is at the gate of sorts to explain to us the situation. The fact we’re now seeing Philemon in our dreams is enough of an indicator of what just happened. Elly helpfully informs that Hypnos is the god of sleep so we have that to look forward to.Īfter we journey further (past the principal and vice principal (Fuck him) who are of course asleep). They are thankfully not dead like Brown initially assumed. So our first room is automatically pleasant as we walk in on an unmoving Tadashi, Tamaki, and Natsumi (the school nurse). this fairy who hangs out with a fountain with a purple tree that will heal you…for a fee. Just remember, on the second floor is a shop, healing station run by Trish- Trish in Persona 1 by Kazuma Kaneko. If you remember the mirror shard mission given to us by Philemon when the route began, fear not, they are no hidden mirror shards here as only the one who rules this tower holds it. What the game only hints at is that the dungeon must be completed in two in-game hours or else-failure. Let’s start with the easiest of the three towers (as it has the weakest enemies), the tower beyond the door that appeared within the frozen fencing club, the Hypnos Tower. Oh the golden butterfly also informed us that once we go in the tower, we can’t leave until we conquer it so we have that to look forward to. They will lead us to the towers we need to conquer before we confront the Snow Queen. Where we hype ourselves up for this virtuous timelimited mission!Ī golden butterfly that is definitely not Philemon helpfully informs us that after we defeated Toro’s Persona, all the frozen doors peppered throughout the school have melted.
